my skincare routine

How do you get perfect skin?

Oh, I just drink water!

Oh no, that’s bullshit. Yeah, water is great for your body and your skin, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll clear up your acne and dark circles within a day. If you’re trying to get perfect skin, you have to eat the right foods and use skincare products that work for you. How do you know what works? Unfortunately, you’ll have to experiment.

I’m still trying to figure out what works for me, honestly. Even though I have a face wash that was *medically prescribed* by a dermatologist, I still have pimples! I’m 23 years old and I’m still breaking out. It’s just rude, tbh.

I’m starting a new health journey–a vegan and low FODMAP diet–and I know that that will improve my skin overtime (and eventually my stomach disorder and anxiety and heart problems!!! But that’s a topic for another day…), but for now, SKINCARE PRODUCTS

Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser

After I use a makeup wipe, I use this as a remover/cleanser. It’s super gentle on the skin - which I LOVE - and does a pretty good job at taking off whatever makeup is left on my face. I then use my dermatologist-prescribed face wash and pat my skin dry.

So let’s dive into the rest of the products, shall we?

Glossier’s Super Pure Serum

I am obsessed with this serum. It’s so great for blemish-prone skin. I just dab a drop on the spots that need to go away and overtime, the pimples will disappear.

Glossier’s Priming Moisturizer

I go through this tube of moisturizer like there’s no tomorrow. I mean, this is my second purchase! This is soft on the skin and all I need is a penny-sized amount to make my face feel nice and soft and moisturized.

Pearlessence Balancing Facial Oil Rosehip

This is…so important…during the winter months. I have very dry skin during winter and this Rosehip Facial Oil is incredible at making my skin feel less tight. I bought mine from TJ Maxx but it’s also available on Amazon

If you’re looking to DIY your own skincare products, here’s a recipe for you to try out!
